Removed original head unit and now my Dash glovebox or rear lights work help please!

I took my old shitty eurovox tape player out to replace with a new one but before i could install the new one i wanted to see if everything was still working fine after i took out the eurovox player. i go to turn my lights on and only the front low beams come on and not the rear. same with the dash that doesnt light up as well as the glovebox light ? what have I done wrong :S...should i just see an auto electrician or get the new cd player fitted professionly and se eif that fixs it. cheers

Forgot to unplug the battery? Checky your fuses..chances are you just shorted stuff
