Have just rebuilt top end of my vt, and have the most frustrating coolant leak....is where the heater hose fitting slots into the intake manifold....have used the original o-ring....a variety of new o-rings...and silicon overnight......bloody thing still leaks.......is incredible... have put it together with the alternator and tensioner mount off and had it sealed perfectly...........but when i do the same shing with the other bits on just can't get it to seal again!!! ......is there some kind of sleave that I have lost when i took it apart?? certainly don't remember seeing one and the o-rings seem to fit in snugly??........any suggestions..??
Got a bit bored while waiting for the heads to come back from the reconditioner.....is amazing what fun you can have with $50 worth of paint...
Should post this in the VT section... I am not even familiar with ecotecs myself.
Cheers
Dan
Hey mate, your more likely to get some help if you post this in the VT section rather than the VN/VP section![]()

Ooops sorry my bad, should i repost? whats the etiquite?
Are you colour blind by any chance? That looks hidious...
Put a new O ring in whack some silicone around it. Get a Genuine Holden O ring though.
.....yeah i am colour blind.....but i think you're right have to get a genuine o-ring.......none of the mixed box of o-rings seems to fit as well as the original even though that leaks too....
Obvious solution is to run it without coolant.
