    Default security switch?

Has anyone had the same fault?
Yesterday when driving the motor cut out & wouldnt start. I turned off the security switch & I was off again without any drama's
I feel the switch is faulty, has anyone bypassed this to keep the system operational?

Cant say i've ever had that problem in either of my VPs. When i first bought my wagon, i wasn't given the security key, so i just drove around without it until i got one (and the remotes programmed)

Common problem with VPs. I have had three of them that all did the same thing. From memory I think the immobiliser was made by Mongoose.

I just turned the alarm off using the key in the lock in the front passenger pillar.

Looked at getting it fixed sometime ago, but was cheaper to have a new immobiliser/central locking kit installed.

I now thonk the problem is with the immobilser

Do you think it's possible to disconnect the fuel cut out & retain the unit just as central locking as Ive just bought a new remote?
