rebuilding a vp v6--hz tonner conversion

ay boys first post,
i picked up a hz tonner and im rebuilding it for my first car, was planning on a v8 in it but with new laws coming in i dont think thats gonna happen.

so im thinking about taking the 202 out and dropping a v6 in, ive found a cheap v6 out of a vp only prob is its done 280 000km and iv heard that once they get in the 160 000km range they start loosing power and could do with a freshen up. so i was wondering what it would cost roughly to have the engine rebuilt, new piston n rings and that?

or would i be better off looking for one with a few less km on it?

if anyone's got a cheap smashed/defected v6 in SA they wanna get rid of let me know aye.

keep the 202 for now and instead save up the money for an ls conversion when you're off your ps. a 202 sounds good and goes shit. a buick 3800 sounds shit and still goes shit. so there's no point, may as well spend the cash right the first time
