Can anyone give me the symtoms of a worn out valuve
or can anyone tell me if this code 44 beat down means worn out valuves?

engine running rough, missing, low compression etc

check the compression. if you find a cylinder that is low, add a bit of oil to it and kick it over for a bit and then retest compression. if it goes up, it's a good indication that the valve stem seal might be worn.
