Default V8 Diff into V6 Questions

I'm planning on getting an LSD from the VN V8's and bolting it up to my V6, but I've just got a few questions.

    1. Will the whole V8 diff housing bolt straight up to my V6? I'm hoping I can just drop the diff out of mine, and put in the V8 one
    2. Roughly how much should I be looking at to get the whole diff from a wrecker?
    3. I'm also probably gonna get the diff serviced to make sure that's all good before I put it in. How much should that roughly cost?
    4. And does anyone know any really good places in Sydney to do the work? I want quality, but I also want reasonable prices too.

    Thanks for the help.

People are too obsessed with how much "power" their car makes....it doesn't make power, it produces torque, from which this mythical "power" figure is calculated.

diff housing will bolt up, the only difference is the diff ratio i think. not sure what the ratio is. v6 one is 3.08. i have a feeling the v8 is like 3.45 or 3.2 changed between auto and manual. only thing is higher ratio is going to give you more accell. not really a bad thing.

shouldn't be more than a couple of hundred bucks from a pull it out yourself wreckers and normally to get an lsd rebuild a good place should be around the 500 buck mark.
but thats in melbourne, can't imagine too much diff between the locations

Ratio's are the same 3.08 stock. This may help.

I payed $900 for my LSD and 3.45 gears to get installed and rebuilt. Thats a guy in penrith.

Well, I plan on keeping my original 3.08 ratio...but plan on going to a wrecker really soon and ripping out a V8 diff to get it serviced and throw it into mine.

    Thanks for the help.
