    Question V6 auto pacemakers?

Just wondering if auto pacemakers will fit V6 with a manual ? I just can't see why not, though I can understand the manual version wont fit auto trans. Anyone know if they will?
I am looking to get a set of 2nd hand auto extractors for my manual VP.

    Depends which ones. LOL.

The PH 5009 will fit an auto only
The PH 5019 will fit a manual only
The PH 5029 will fit both

the manual takes up less space in all areas so I can't understand why the auto ones wont fit? I went under the my vp and my vn donor car which has the 5 spd, measured every thing and I recon the auto extractors will fit fine. I would only know for sure if I could find a pic of the manual extractors to see what they look like.

I have a set of manual Pacemakers on my Auto VR and they fit fine.
The difference between the two is because of the size of the auto, the auto extractors have a god ugly 'crushed' area in them, where-as the manual ones seem to keep a nice consistent flow.

The Pacemakers are a thousand times better than the HM set i had on it, the pacies don't collect until well under the car, whereas the HM's just followed the factory sizing.

I would Put manual Extractors on your manual.

I figured its only the y pipe that is different. Can you buy the y individually ? wonder what it costs?

My extractors come down to a point beyond the steering rack, so from memory the 'pinch' in the auto ones would be in the header itself and not the y-piece

I personally have tried fitting auto extractors onto a manual, but what I posted first off, is from the pacemaker website.

So there's gotta be some reason why it's like that.

PH 5029's are the 'AUSCAR' style extractors with 1 5/8" primaries, whereas PH5019(manual) and PH5009(automatic) both have 1 1/2" primaries.

I have PH5019 on my Automatic VR commodore. They Do fit, and Yes I fitted them.

I do wonder why the bigger PH5029 are listed as able to fit both? They are exactly the same as mine (I have had them side-by-side) except for the size of the primaries.

Put manual ones on, only use the Auscar ones if you have some serious work going on, as they are just to big for your everyday v6.

Well, if you fitted them, the they must fit.

    So go for it.

I fitted an auto set to a manual so they do fit. It's the RHS header that is different. It just had a bit less clearance, but it goes in and fits.

$200-300 dollars to be custom made I have been quoted but I live in Canberra where a set of pacies will set you back $700+ dollars.

$490 for a set of new manual pacies is cheap as. I highly doubt you will find a better deal.

$190 from a walk-in store, brand-new? no chance that'd happen here, thats a sweet deal.

where did you buy that. I am having trouble buying one. people keep on removing them off ebay before the auction ends or stealing your money after you win them. That really pi$$es me off. Has anyone got any that I can buy?

Just fit them yourself, doesn't take much more than a couple of hours (I've got it down to about an hour)

Yeah ebay sucks for that Vlad01, I just gave away a set of HM's too.

I would put a post in the wtb but haven't been a member long enough Dam! I want them so bad. Been looking for a few months now but keep running into bad luck and for what ever reason can't get them.
Either no posting interstate, no y pie, too damaged, listing ends before its suppose to or you win and get your money stolen god dam it.
