    Default Fuel issues!!

G'day, I've a small problem, well a big one!! Our vn wagon is going through a fuel issues!! The last 3 weeks it had been to the mechanics 4 times!!! (its not the mechanics fault). We have replace the fuel pump, fuel filter, we even had it tuned. The fuel was coming out of the black canister, we got it fix, NOW its blowing black smoke out of the exhaust. NOT HAPPY!!!...It's also running rough as guts, it stalls in gear. Any ideals what the problem might be? Pls help us, its the family car!! Cheers Jason

O2 sensor 1st - then maybe the ECU temp sensor.

    Black smoke = rich.

    Maybe the CAS also.

People are too obsessed with how much "power" their car makes....it doesn't make power, it produces torque, from which this mythical "power" figure is calculated.

Thank guys for your help. We just got our wagon back, the problem was three hoses came off. The throttle, and the air/ fuel sensor. So, that was causing the black smoke and also running rough, because it was just running on fuel and there was NO air getting inside of the motor....Cheers jay
