    Default Ripped my diff out

g'day yesterday i ripped the diff out of my vp ss getting air over what i thought was a smooth rise..... i found out it was held in by the two front mounting bolts and the rear bushing only. i snapped one bolt and tore off the passenger side mount. i cant weld this as the casing is cast iron. so i had to re tapp the thread in the rear mounting brakets. just wanted to know if its ok to drive with only 3 of the 4 mounts attached and the rear bushing still attached.....
    cheers

    Which bit is cast iron?
I thought the brackets on the diff where steel and the tube is steel.

I would say there's a very big chance your irs cradle will crack without all 4 bolts in and done up REALLY tight

ok i took it up behind pac pines nd gave it a good thrash... somewhere in the vecinity of bout $2.10... feels pretty solid but im still a bit worried bout it on rough roads... its not just the cradle holding it, it has 3 of the 4 cast casing mounts holding it too....... i cant belive i ripped it out, such a pain in the ass! i dont wanna get another lsd either cause it has a clubsport one in it..... nd i wont find another like that one for under $500
