You may need to run a VS trip computer in the dash. I put a VR trip computer in my VP and cruise didn't work so it's connected somehow, I'm sure greenvn knows more
The trip computer has nothing to do with cruise.
Have you fitted the VS BCM?
no i am using all original wiring i have been following this thread
VP to VS Dash Conversion
so far i have the lights, hazards, demister and everything else is in i just need to wire the C/c and Window washers
help would be great i know it can be done just need diagrams

I'm sure that the C/C requires the BCM for it to work. It runs off wheel sensors that are used for the ABS as well.
i beg to differ, i put a vr trip computer in my vp and cruise control stopped working. i was scratching my head until i put the vp trip computer back in the dash and cruise worked again. shane tested it as well and he got the same problem - cruise won't work without the correct trip computer.
I had a VS with factory cruise and it didn't have a trip computer.....
all good got it working i just wired it so it is always on then all you need to do is press set dodgy yes but vp cant have a press switch it has to have a on/ off switch

that doesn't explain my problem though, maybe the VS loom works different, but he's using a VP loom (like my car) so i thought it might have something to do with that. looks like he got it working anyway though
my cruise control is always on anyway, i never turn it off![]()
The cruise signal goes throught the cluster on VN-VP, on the VR-VS it goes through the switch block, so that explains your problem.
ah ok, well that makes sense then. thanks for that
now the only problem i have is my instrument lights are not working anyone got a fix for that?
