I have a severe oil leak and have established that it is not the main oil seals but is infact the sump gasket that is leaking. I have a new sump as mine is dinged pretty good. I have read in the gregorys manual that the sump gasket can be renewed by removing the front suspension cross member and going from there. has any one resealed a sump this way and do you have any advice?
The way ive done it was get a engine hoist ,un-do the 4 engine mounts lift the motor till the gearbox is just touching the body of the car (Trust the engine hoist) climb under the car un-do the bolt and side your sump out from the front but there is other ways of doing it i guess
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them
