    Default VQ bumpers on VN?

Hey everyone now im looking at updating the body kit on my car. Ive currently got vn ss rear spoiler, vp bumpers and stock skirts.

    I want to run:
    -vn ss front spoiler
    -Vn ss skirts
    - VQ spoiler with 3 peice skirt and vq garnish.

Im thinking of going for the VQ stuff as im running half vq interior, kinda like to cary it on outside.

Now i have a stock vn front bumper off this car: Wrecking VN wagon

Will it be alright to use if i get a vn ss skirt? is the mould on it right?

Lastly Im tossing up between vn ss mould decals and statesman chrome, any opinions?
Is it even possible to run vn ss decals on the vq rear mould or vice versa, chrome on vn door moulds?

Will all be painted metallic blue like in photo.
Car pics: 1990 VN "S" Manual - First Car :D
anyone with any vq bumpers, vn ss skirts ect pm me.

if you want a vq garnish you need a vq rear bumper because vq garnish doesnt have a license plate spot.

Yeah i realise that i plan to run vq rear garnish and bumper. My question is what sort of mould does the vq bumper have? will it match up with my vn body moulds.

Yes the VQ bumpers will match the VN moulds. More so the Calais and SS moulds.

As above, the bumpers are the same style mould on both.

The side skirts are also the same (VQ and VN SS) but make sure you only buy VN SS ones, VQ rear pieces wont fit your car (some people say they fit both when they dont)

Alright thanks for your help, So ill need to buy vn ss side skirts, and a series two vq rear bumper?

What sort of price am i looking at for that? ive seen the skirts for $40-$50, just not sure bout the rear bar.

Also Vn ss front bumpers have the ss lip on the bottom but is this the only difference to a normal vn bar?

Whats everyones opinion on finishing off the moulds? i can either buy 19mm chrome striping or buy a vn ss decal mould kit.

im more leaning towards the chrome strip in the mould, with chrome window surrounds, should look good against the blue.
    want others input though

W84N01: the rear of your car looks sweet, very similar to want i wnat but im thinking i get the proper vq bar.

The other difference to a stock bar from an SS one is the cutout for the spotties.

oh yes i forgot about those,

So in theory i could use the vn bar i have, cut out the sections for the spotties, fit a ss lower skirt and i would have myself what bassicaly is a vn ss bar?

Ive read on the forum that bosch make rectangular lights that are exactlythe same as the vn ss lights?
im thinking of using theseinstead of geuine but still mounting in the factory ss place.

Ive found a vq rear however he said it has a one peice lip, so i offered to but it off him without the lip so i can then put a 3 peice one on there.
Are all vq bumpers the same? like the main part, apart from the skirts?

They should fit your car fine mate, without a problem.

I have bought an SS kit for mine aswell, and it's a 3 piece instead of a 1 piece, but yours will still fit.

You just gotta sand it back and re paint it to the colour of your own car now.

Keep in mine one piece is an aftermarket copy, made of fibreglass. I wouldn't touch anything other than the stock holden plastic ones.

good body kit combo. i have the same on mine. i have the vn ss front lip on the standard bumper cuase i dont really care to much for the fog lights, vp ss side skirts and a vq caprice rear garnish but i ended up putting the number plate shroud into a vp ss bumper cause i couldn't get a lip kit for the standard vq one i had. i think it looks nicer cause the vp back bumper is one piece where the vn bumper is three piece.

Nothing wrong with fibreglass panels so long as they've been fitted correctly.

Thanks for all your opinions, i think ill steer clear of the one peice one and wait for a three peice one.

If made an offer on the bar minus the skirt, so we will see how that goes. I also made an offer on some spats

Ive been looking at the vq bonnet and grill. do i need a vq bar to run this? I was thinking i could mod the centre section ( recess the centre section down) so that it fits? whats everyones opinions?

The image i have for my car is like VN Stato
    - A mixture of vn ss and vq outside
    - a mixture of vq and vn inside

should look good i think, whats everyone elses opinion?

Would anyone be able to photoshop a vq grill onto the front of a vn ss?

    Cheers
