so today i got 19's ve gts rims for my vp calais and the back fit in fine with plenty of room botrh sides wiht a 10mm spacer. But the front wheels are tocuhing the bottom of the strut.
in some werid way the car can still drive but i get a massive crunching sound at 50kms and higher. now the profile on the tyre is 235 i believe and it needs that much to fit the rim.
wat are my options here as im really scratching my head on this one and have absoulty no idea
btw this is at stock height ???
You have a couple options, smaller rims or different struts
what struts should i be looking at i seen heaps of vp's with 19's
235/35/19 is the tyre you're after. thats what i had all round on my vp with no issues.
George
thing is i do have that excatct size
Have fun with your illegal spacer if your in Australia. Are they tooled to suit the earlier cars. VE rims will not work without being remachined.
yer, there machined, i took care of the promblem, just went for lower pofile tyre at the front. has left enough room to drive around on now. thx for the help guys anyway![]()
what is the offset of genuine VE rims?
