Say if you were to get new injectors for a VN, VP, VR, would it be better to get say VS, VT/VX injectors? I am wondering this not because they flow faster and I know its pointless unless you have done serious work to the engine and other systems, but would it improve fuel spay/atomization pattern? thus improving economy and give little bit better power?
I assume you would have to get a eprom tune to suit.
Would it be a good idea if you were to:
70mm tb
mace style cai
mild head porting
pacemakers
catback rear exhaust
200cpsi cat
and a tune of course.
curious to know if better injectors would help. I think "why not" considering reco vt injectors are the same price as vn ones.
I tried this in my VR, VX injectors gave a noticeable increase in power, quite a bit actually. As for fuel economy, mine is currently chewing through petrol like you wouldn't believe, this may or may not be caused by the bigger injectors, Ive taken them out at the moment and put the stock ones back in, will see how fuel economy goes.
Don't do it!. Those have the same total flow rating as a VN/P injector but they flow hugely different amounts of fuel when using the same settings as the VN/P injector. They are a very big problem infact, they will run about 2 points lower airfuel mixture ie. 12:1 will become 10:1 but it will be different in different places on the fuel map so it's just a disaster
hey again. I pulled out a set of injectors out of a VN donor. I noticed that they were a different colour.
They are a gray with a tinge of blue/green. The PN is 0 280 150 917. The only info I could find on that num is that they are 210cc. They also have 4 orifices. Are these any good to use in my VP? I don't think they are the standards VN/VP came with.
