Hi there, im in the middle of changing my radiator and thermostat and im doing a radiator flush to clean the pipes. ive realised the coolant container is filthy but its attached to the windscreen cleaner container and thats got electronic attacments. i think i really need to clean all the dirt out of the coolant container as im about to put in a new radiator.....also there is coolant still in there that didnt come out with when i pulled off the bottom hose.........any ideas...

the electronics is just the plug to the motor for your water jet things to spray your window on your bonnet.

just unplug that and take your bottle out, put some water in it and shake it around

You will find it easier to clean by using a solution of water and CLR (available from most supermarkets or hardware shops) leaving it stand for half hour or so. Repeat if necessary. A cheaper and as effective way is about a cup of water, handful of small pieces of gravel and shake it all around until the inside looks clean. You can finish it off with some wet sand inside. Make sure you rinse it well before re-installing. A small bottle brush used with the set sand will help to remove stubborn stains particularly in the crevices and corners.

get a small chain, some degreaser, put chain in the container, hold fingers over the holes and shake the thing till its all clean, works for everything thats small enough to shake haha
