transmission fluid question

hi guys,

ive just had a lot of transmission fluid leaking from bad radiator trans. hoses after i changed a rad. im geussing i should top up my transmission fluid, is there anything i should know about transmission fluid, can i top it up with any trans fluid or is it best not to mix fluids.....do i need to flush it if ive lost a lot anway....

It has to be at least Dexron III.

how much would a vn need to fill up on trans fluid, 1 litre do it?

dexron III & roughly 4 litres after a service refill, in your case i would check the level first top up accordingly and test drive. if the level is that low if will drive like S*** and be really noisy

where do you top up transmission fluid?

You fill it via the the pipe where you check the Tranny Fluid in the 1st place

Dont overfill it tho.. could get nasty

what happens if you overfill? its quite hard to gauge how high its gone, i put in 2 litres today and it was over the full mark
