ive got spacers on the front wheels on my vn.
The holden cap doesnt fit on the rim without them.
PS: ive got vy ss rims.
You used spacers instead of modifying the centre caps?? Talk about thinking backwards!!Originally Posted by VNPOWER
Spacers can cause the wheel studs to sheer off while at speed and cause an accident. Partly why they're illegal.Originally Posted by Vp_Calais
Why do you want to fit them?? If your wheels are rubbing on the inside at the rear of your VP with IRS, try a later model IRS disc rotor. This will give you a different offset on the rear. Do some research, I think it's the VS rotor that will do this.

the guy at the mag wheel place did them not me
I hope you've got that in writing. They'll deny it if asked about it later.
If you have an accident your insurance will be voided and you will be held liable for damages as wheel spacers are illegal and this makes your car unroadworthy. Read your insurance policy carefully, I'll bet there's a clause in there about your car being roadworthy.
It's also an easy defect if the cops stop you.
P.S: Porsche spent alot of money developing a wheel spacer system for their high performance sports cars that works. They tested, tested and re-tested to make sure the studs, brakes, suspension, wheels ect would be able to stand up to their design.
What makes people think that you get the same result by spending about $20???

Check your local laws, but I think you'll find: Any wheel spacer/hub adaptor, other than those fitted at the factory by the vehicle manufacturer, is illegal. The only way around this is to have the vehicle re-engineered by an approved engineering signatory with the new spacer/hub adaptor fitted.
