Swapped out my L1 vn cluster for a VP l2 cluster.
Now i have since gotten rid of the l1 cluster so i cant compare pin outs ect if anyone has a photo it would be very helpful.
THE PROBLEM.
since throwing the vp cluster in my warning lights are a little messed up on the drivers side.
Hi beam light comes on when the keys set to ignition and the engine light comes on when the high beams are on.
i also get no right indicator light...
attached is a photo of the cluster when i bought it, I will post a better photo of the cluster up tomorrow as the car isnt with me at the moment.
Some say less talk more action. But I rekon more torque less traction!
I have the pin outs for both at home.... I finish at about 4:30. Can post up some photos too.
Here are some from a VN L3 cluster - most will be the same as for the L1.

Cheers man,
will pull mine out tonight hopefully and see if the pinouts are different.
Was under the impression VN/VP were the same but apparently not all lol

The indicator wires are the only ones you need to move I think - maybe 1 more.

i have the same problem in my VP. i have a vn cluster in mine. i need to change the wires on the plug thats in the dash correct? can someone tell me which wires to change?
George
Yep all you need to do is move the left hand blinker wire to the right 1 spot so it lines up correctly. The VP cluster has the LH blinker at spot C1 #11 - the VN cluster has it at C1 #10. I have both VN and VP L2 clusters and looked over the pin outs last night.
I dont think any other lights that count differ between the VN and VP.

Can you check the high beam and engine light for me as well, im faily sure they just need to be swapped around. Does anyone know whats involved in swapping the wires, i assume they are crimped into the dash plugs?
