You don't need to take the dash out.

You remove the centre console (I have to do this in my calais, I think the exec got a slightly different console where you just pop up the shifter surround), drop down the fuse panel cover under the steering wheel, remove glovebox and radio surround and thats it.

    Default vp dashboard remove

Ive Done all that what u said to do but the problem is i need to rewire the hole wiring audio system and all the wiring runs up into the dash board it might even be just a split wire or somfen simple but all the wire i can c isnt split ot anything so my only option is to remove the dashboard and c if there is anything in there that can cause the wires to have no power ive checked all the fuses under the steering wheel and there all fine do u no y it could have no power. It did have power on friday then i had to take it out and put the speakers in then i hooked it all back up and it had no power i tried a tester on the wires and they dont have any power at all.

I'm trying to remember from when I put a head unit in my car years ago.

    Is it a aftermarket one?

If so, check the fuse in the back of the head unit.

Do you have the audio wiring diagram for the VP's? Its on here if you search for it.

I would pull the plug out of the head unit and check with a multimeter to see if there is any power there.

Edit - I just read you checked the wires. Did you do the ones at the loom that plugs into the head unit?

The HU im assuming is the head unit. Your stereo lol.
Did you check all the fuses? because there is also a fuse for the radio in the accessories section of fuses. Which deals with when you turn the key on.

Yer I did check the fuses there all fine in the HU and i also put a teaster on the wires that connect to the stereo and they have no power them selfs and they lead up into the dashboard somewhere so im kinda stuck on what to do like i can run 2 wires strait from the battery and use power that way but then it will kill the battery to quickly so cnt really do that lol
