Rattle on start up

Hi guys,

I'm unsure if this is normal or not because the car has solid lifters but when ever i start the car up of a morning or if it's been sitting for a few hours it rattles loudly for about 3-4 seconds, after that there is a faint rattle (sounds like sticky tapper or something) is this normal?

probably is cos of the solids im sure someone can confirm but i have the same issue with my anti pump ups on start up but its only for a second which is normal

the lifters are probably a bit worn but if it was me i wouldn't worry about it . what oil are you using?

I went by the book and put 15/40 penrite in. Is it possible to get some aftermarket lifters and such to fix this?

i would try using a 20w50 first, might at least lower the noise. if it's causing you bother then yeah you can just replace the lifters however i would get mechanics opinion before doing that (without hearing the noise we could be way off the ball)

get some 20-50 oil in there and adjust the roller rockers..
