seems to only happen while car is still warming up but i can be driving down road, engine light comes on, car starts to loose power then engine cuts out. car then restarts straight away and goes another mile or so and happens again, especially bad when stopping or turning corner.
tried the holden dealer, their computer found no error. i tried the paper clip trick from this site, got the following 1 flash then gap and two quick flashes, that i think means no error.
yet when on highway or engine nice and warm the car drives fine.
car has oil leak around sump, coolant leak where top radiator hose enters engine and i guess it must be a faulty sensor but which one?
engine stalls while driving
that might give ya some idea, (mayb)
i dont think its crank handle sensor as it works when engine warm and not work when engine cold, which if i understand right rules out crank handle sensor, i been thinking its O2 sensor but hoping to get some more feedback before i get a new sensor which i hear is close to $60
My car used to do that when I bought it, and then sometimes didnt start at all.
The computer didnt pick up any errors at all but after replacing the computer it worked fine and never happened again..
it could be a few things, the best you can do is trial and error, sometimes it can be really hard to diagnose it down to one specific part. try cas, fuel pressure regulator, could possibly be fuel pump issues ie not in the swirl pot properly or problems with return fuel line...
Something easy to eliminate - Check for corrosion on the pins of the DFM, under the coil packs. You will need a 7mm socket, I think. Pin 1 at the front is usually the worst effected. If you find it, scrap it off with a box cutter blade.
