VL-VN rack

will a VL commodore steering rack fit into a vn commodore?

It's my understanding that people use VL manual steer racks in VNs when that conversion is necessary.. unsure though, wait for someone knows for sure

VL and VN power steering racks are the same, so I'd imagine it would be a straight swap.

just called tyre service they claim the box that pushes/pulls is diffrent ?

Of course it is different, one is manual, the other is power. As long as the shaft fits the column it will bolt in.

yeah mate, pretty easy swap check out mortons vq for all the info.
its all in there somewhere, just gotta sort thru 50 pages lol. maybe between page 30 and 50??
