MD8 trans and M30 trans???

Hey i have a vn ss with a MD8 trans i just got a M30 trans but there are a few things i want to know about them. Mine has a cable kick down. and the m30 has a green plug on it can anyone tell me what its for? Is it electrical kick down or what any help would be great cheers.

The M30 is from VR onwards trans with that is electronically controlled by the PCM. The green plug your refering to is probably for electrical side of things.

The kick-down cable your refering to on your VN is only on hydraulic controlled trans found in VN/VP. The kickdown is electronic on VR onwards.

Yeah i just spoke to a Transmission guy about it and he said its electronic and for me to use it in my vn i need the computer. Loom and some other stuff or it wont work. So looks like ill be taking thats trans back anc keep looking for a vn v8 trans.
