Strut brace, CAI, 2 1/2" cat back, cpu tune, V8 throttle body, tint, lower, adjustable panhard rod, leather Calais interior, all new nolathane rubbers for steering and suspension.

If you have any squeaks, motor noise, exhaust noise ect get it fixed first. Drive train and handling should always be the main priority.

Aside from that if the paint is nice just keep it clean and polished, if not try buff it up and if still no good you might want to consider a respray.

Its not cheap to have a nice car.

Yeah i have the same noise, well don't know if its the same but don't know where its coming from

Saw a VN Calais just like mine (white over silver) at Colonnades a while back that sounded just like mine, I wanted to ask him if he knows whats making that sound but didn't bother.

I asked 1 mechanic and he said its the belt tensioner so I replaced that, nothing happend.

Another said its a old Holden, they all make noises and then turned his back and walked away. (right after i payed him $350 for doing jack all work on it)

Another said he would replace my timing chain or something but it would cost $1,500 and hes not even sure if its that.

Do you smell exhaust fumes when putting the boot down?

I have a small idea it could be a bolt on the exhaust manifold or cat rattling because it goes away with a bit of throttle.

Usually sounds bad driving in tunnels or drive through ect but I don't notice it when on the highway or around town unless I'm going slow.

Might have to have a search around the forum and see what I come up with.

About 20 results for topic containing "Noise" most the posts comparable to mine people say its exhaust manifold or extractors.

I have a ratteling to and it is the tensionor on mine!! And it goes away with a bit of power but as soon as your going slow or idle its jumping around.. iv been told its just trying to adjust and they usually do it when the engine is cold, the best way to check is to start her up pop the hood and watch your tensioner and see if it jumps up and down and see if it is syncing with the rattle you hear!

I Replaced The Tensioner pully On Mine Coz I Had A Big Chrome 1 but nothing changed!..

I recently painted all of my interior black and got some
stock light grey vr trim around the car like the door seals
grab handles and speaker pods it looks awsome. Also my car had
a rattle it was just one of the exhaust covers was loose all I had to
do was tighten up a bolt and it was fixed.
