Default putting a rb30 into a vn commodore questions

ok well ive searched, searched and searched but ive had basically no results.

so basically im converting my vn. i have already purchased and pulled apart my vlt. i kept the wiring lume, k frame, engine, turbo, exhaust, struts and front calipers and 5 spd box and other gear box components. so im pretty much ready to go.

some questions i have (before i put the vn in the shed and start pulling it apart) are...

what pedal box would you use?? (yes i posted another thread but im almost 100% sure the vl one one fit ive done a heap of looking the the firewalls and im pretty sure they are different)?

would it be possible to maybe use a t5 clutch and play with it so a rod can push the clutch booster thingy(forgoten what its called)?

wiring? whats the difference in the lumes clearly the plugs are gonna be different on the ecu's but do i just need to power up the vlt ecu?

    manual rack or power steer?

and emmissions? that will be my main concern? how ever i may possibly go straight gas just cause.

also do you think the 5spd box shifter will be roughly in the saME place as the hole in the floor and console.

and also the vl runs a speedo cable vns are electronic what would you do there?

any other problems any1 has ran into?

hoping this will help alot of other people too.

I think most of your questions might be answered by reading Lukes VN thread which is a turbo + supercharged rb30 in a VN. I know his pedal box is a custom made one with a welder and hammer action. I'll let Luke give you a quick answer to the other stuff when he comes across this thread but for the most part everything just bolts in. Emissions is fine, it's a automatic pass you only need to take it to vicroads to have the engine number changed to the rb one. A friend of mine decided to do this conversion one day and it was driving within a week, he was flying pretty blind too but it all came together ok. The speedo in the VN is made especially for the RB30 infact so that's no problem

alright so i guess ill just give it A WHIRL a see what i can make of it.

what do you mean with the spedo? will it unbolt out of the auto and straight into the vl 5 spd.

also the vn will have 3.08 diff gears and the vls came with 3.45s true?

    will the speedo be out?.

i do plan on changing the diff gears is 4.11 diff gears to high lol should i go for something lower

Your speedo will be out.I just put a lsd with 3.45s from a VLt (stock diff 3.08) in my vp and the speedo reads 10ks over what iam doing.Just get a jaycar speedo corrector kit they cost $50 or so.
