    my vn seems 2 b using alot more fuel than it should the engine is stock no mods im not sure if its the fuel gauge playing up can any1 help

    roughly how many kms to a tank do you get and whats your driving style like ? carry much load at times ?? cruising on the open road or just around town

    the km thing on the dash says i get 500 but i hav 2 re-fuel b4 then id say like 400 per tank. idont drive like a race driver i dont very oftern hav a lot of people in the car or weight. i drive both around town and open road bout the same amount 4 each

    One common thing is the coolant circuit on the ecu being broken, You'll have to take note of how long it takes for the stall converter to lock up after a cold start, it it takes more than a few minutes you have a problem there

    I get way less than that on my VP. about 200-300 a tank :S It sux and I haven't worked it out yet.

    replace fuel filter and fuel pump, worked for me.
    change ur cluster if it persists and see if ur gauge is f***ed.

    I changed the whole tank/vapor lines,fuel filter, pump, O2 sensor, fuel regulator, ign lead, plugs, factory type CAI, K&N panel. gauges are not the problem.
    My friend was following me and as I accelerate and he said it continually pours black smoke. Any ideas? ECU reports 12 so I am not sure anymore.
