Yeap, but you will need the VS ECU and whole engine loom

Yes you can, and it will be a pretty awesome swap. Also i think you need a different gearbox? someone should confirm this.

from my understanding the gearbox`s are diffrent in the vr/vs they have no kick down cable they are all electronic or somthing like that
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them

Well the VT gearbox will sure be different to the VN so you'll need the gear box, wiring loom. And if you have a donor car that you can just take all you need out of, then you should right. And thats as much as i know.

BTW you do know that the VT's had the same engine as the VS's (V6 wise).

Would be easier to use the VS (i think). If you have a spare VT, then yeah why not, the VT brake upgrade is pretty popular too.

from what i have heard vs upwards they run electronic control from the ecu for the auto but for some fun i would put a ecotec to a vr gearbox or vp and keep the map tune and get green foam to sort you out a tune hozy did it in his car it will wield good power and make thing a little easier than a full wire swap and everything i just converted my vs to a vn loom with a haltech was not hard at all except the extending the wires part

mate you sure can! i signed up just to tell u this...
it will just all drop in, what you will need to change is, gearbox mount of the vp onto the vs gearbox, heating hoses, power steering fluid bottle, u will need the ecotec engine wiring loom and the ecu -with the ecu go on ebay and buy memcal with no vats- it disables the immobilizer, its a must otherwise u wont be able to start it! whole exhaust from manifold to the axle, one of the wiring loom connectors near the battery is different, but same colors so just cut and join, u will nee the vs air box, has a sensor in it. and also just use the vp fuel hoses. other than that it's a smooth green light.
im a little late on posting but im sure some one will find it useful. please don't diss my writing lol. im just helping

just out of interest why would you want to? seems a whole lot of work for not much gain if you going to spend that much money make it at least a 304 or l67 conversion. basically the same changes (ecu, loom etc) but just more worthwhile.

Im going to do this swap next month. im buying a VS V6 and auto box off a mate, and im getting an ECU off another mate. also ive been told that you need to fit the VS ignition barrel because the vn/vp key wont start the vs ecu (something to do with the metal strip on the key).
anyway as soon as i get the job started ill be taking LOTS of photo's and ill definitely post it up here. If i run into drama's ill also put them up... but i hope i dont because its my daily driver and i have no other car. but i will be taking a week off work just in case.
