clicking/taping noise from engine

hey guys iv got this clicking/taping noise that sounds like its comming from the inlet manafold on my vn i was thinking it was comming from the injectors. if i change the oil and filter the noise goes away but comes back after a little bit then i thought it could b the hydrolic lifters/ tappets not getting oil it anoys the shitt outa me nd makes the car sound shit. any ideas on wat it is and wat can i do 2 get rid of the noise or at least make it a heap more quieter

hi mate i have the same problem. mine is coming from the injectors. if you grab your self a flat head screw driver and put the handle up to your ear and the blade to one of the injectors. it will work like a stethescope. the noise will be distinct if it is coming from the injectors

Ive got a fairly louad tapping noise...turns out its an exhaust leak from the new extractors i put on... needs new gaskets. I never thought it would sound like that though...

na its not the injectors they sound normal if it is the lifters wat can b done
