Default Vn wagon blower fan and thermo not working :(

First off i just wanna say Gday to all as i am new and look forward to chatting to you all .. sencondly i have a 90 model VN wagon that is giving me a massive headache .. it started the other day when i was investing why the fuel pump continues to run for upto 2 mins after the car was stopped and i played with the relays under the bonnet only then the next day i relised that the car was still running like crap (missing intermitantly)
2 days later i relised that i had now thermo fan either . Amungst my searches and ready to blow the car up, i relised that there was no power to the actual fuse its self (under the dash) now if i run straight power to it, the thermo cuts in and out as normal and i gain blower fan back :* but i kinda relised that what ever is happening isn't good as the check engine light come on 4 times yesterday and only yesterday.. now my questions are ..

    1) why would the petrol pump continue to run ??? could it be the OPS playing up??? (doesnt happen all the time and yes it is going through fuel since everything started)
    2) why would i have lost power to the fans and can i fix it before it gets bad .. someone told me it is an electrical fault, but i am now running out of options ..
3)would washing the motor cause the car to run like crap, lose only the fans and nothing else ???

All i know is that the car is a series 2 but with a series 1 motor :S ..
    Please help me ..

    Default still confussed :S

Hey all again .. just did some more tests out of frustration .. ok now if i test power to the engine fan relay under the bonnet, and follow all the wires the main power wire i have (+) from fuse to then relay but from out of the relay to fuse box i have (-) power and i have negitive power at the fuse in the cabin .. is that normal .. ??? also if i disconnect the interior fan at all .. i lose the neg power from the relay but still have it at the fuse box inside the car .. :S im thinking split wire .. but not sure .. it did start straight away .. but fuel pump contining to run has been there for a bit longer that i have noticed .. please help me ..
    cheers all

Yep - you have an electrical fault of some sort.

If the fan on the radiator is not cutting in - sus ECU. If it's the heater box fan - check the earths on the car or the resistors in the top of the heater box. They are prone to blowing the fan speed 1 & 2.

YAY!! .. Problem fixed .. after many of tests and thoughts .. i throw the hands in the air and replaced everything form relays to fuses to fusible links .. i relised that not only is the lp check a 5 pin but the pin inside was pushing down and not connecting and thanks to green vn i discovered that there was an earth wire off at the fuse box looked fine but would seperate from itself .. Thanks 88GreenVN your a champ ! cheers all ..

    Default Still needing help :S

HAHA .. true .. Now i have just one more problem which i thought was fixed but it isnt The fuel !! Its just a stocky V6 that, it doesnt always do it but you start it and then it idles really rough for about 10 sec's then dies .. you restart, it starts fine .. also when you are driving then stop and go from D to R it was stall also from D or R to P :S .. I have been reading on here .. could that be fuel reg .. It is going through fuel to .. or the gauge might be buggered .. but 200 ks to just over 3/4 of a tank .. im a bit worried .. i know its going through fuel cause i can smell it bad out of the ex and the ex is starting to get a red stain instead of black. :S .. Or could this still be the OPS .. or both ????????

    Default Slowly getting there

I think i have might of figured out my fuel problem .. just need some confirmation .. i moved the car to turn it around so i can pull the tank out to replace the hose's and it was ok when it started and reversing out the drive way , but when i put it back into reverse to come out the drive way its started to play up and stall but back fired when i put my foot down to reverse ??? fuel pump or reg ???

I have decided to replace the hose's on the fuel tank and i took the fuel pump out and not only is the net on the fuel pump black but original :S ..

i also replaced the coil pack to the series 2 where the coils are all seperate and it seems to use less fuel again but i still have the miss where, when the car warms up .. it starts missing ???? any suggestions ???
