cigi ligter wires please help

hi i was wondering what colour is the positive wire for the cigi lighter in a vp commodore
please help

Brown/White trace I think from memory. There is 3 wires going to it. Black is ground, Brown/white is either power or illumination. Grab a test light and check.

ok the brown and yellow wire is positive, black is ground, and brown and white is illumination

Yeah thats sounds right. Knew it was brown something. What are you connecting to power off the ciggy lighter?

um a volts gauge i figured that would be the easiest spot to connect to
