Default Air Conditioning Not working Properly!!!

i have recently tried to hook my air con controls back up after having the centre console out to install my electric windows. I plugged in the air con switch and pushed it to on. I installed the two power plugs on the back of the heater controls, and the vaccum hoses. I then turned the ignition to accesories and pushed the fan speed to 3 or 4.

I got air coming out, however its only of the footwell. when u turn the spot selector (vaccum hose part) no changes happen it still comes out of the footwell no where else.

Any suggestions? I must have something wrong somewhere!!!

You may need to start the engine to build up vacuum for the vents to work.

From the way I understand it, there is a tube that runs from somewhere on the intake manifold, to gain a vacuum from it, it hooks up to to the vacuum ball, which holds like a 'vacuum charge' to operate the vacuum controls for your heater and stuff.
But also, behind where those controls are, there may also be a metal rod coming off the back of those controls which needs to be hooked up(not sure about VN/VP), to operate one of the vents.

everything is working perfectly now. Had it set back up just had to run the car. Only problem now is gluing my metal rod to the plastic part that it holds in, as mine broke!
