Power Antena Testing

Hey Guys

I am wrecking a vn berlina and have just taken out the power antenna but dont know how to test it? Does anyone have any idea on how to test it when it is out of the car?

Ok if i remember right .. there will be 2 wires coming off the base or the motor on the antenna .. Now one of the wires will be up and the other down .. so if i can remember right there will be an earth on the actual base .. ( it will have a piece of metal coming of the motor to a bolt or something like that) Place the earth on the neg side of the batt and then get 2 wires and hook them up so u dont arch out on them selves and then place onc wire at a time on the pos side of the batt and it should go down (if the wires are correct) then up again ..
