VN Surging Idle Stalling

Over the past week idle at lights is gradually been getting worse and worse. Really rough and about to die then at the last possible moment jumps back to life. Happens eratically though, not at regular times. Finally today it stalled and now won't run at all, engine kicks over, coughs splutters and dies. Can't get it going at all. Fuel rail is getting fuel. Thought I heard a pretty loud sucking noise just before it died completely, not sure if related though.

No engine codes. Leads, plugs and coils replaced fairly recently. Vacuum hoses look intact by eye, could a cracked vacuum hose stop engine running completely?? Injectors clogged maybe?? MAP sensor?? Injector O Rings?? Any thoughts......

hi mate had the same problem i changed my fuel filter and it seemed to do the trick, let me know how u went .

I'll give it a shot. Car started today so I took it for a drive. Seems sluggish and at high revs the engine cuts out for half a second, the engine light comes on, then the engine kicks back in and continues no problems. Only happens under load at high revs. No error codes. Might check if the fuel pump is clogged with mud too.
