VP v8 trouble

Hi guys,

I have been helping a friend trying to get his vp v8 motor going. It is fully rebuilt with stage 3 cam and also ported heads, we have tried so many things to get it going. It seems to be only firing on number 6 cylinder. We made sure all of the leads were going to the right place, have made sure there is plenty of fuel pressure and plenty of spark at the coil and at the leads.

We have also tried to swap the computer over to make sure it wasnt that as well.

We are going to try swapping coils, has anyone ever heard of this problem before?? Very weird as i have never heard of this before. He said it was going, then they put a timing light on it to do the timing and it just stopped.

The engine is in a custom old 55 chev ute.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
