Need some HSV VP cam details
hey guys. looking for some cam info. what do the HSV's have or are they all the same cam? VN group A, SV5000, VP Senator, VP GTS etc and is there a HDT cam in the VP range too?
Even if some1 can just tell me if there the same spec or put them in order of lumpest to smallest would be great

arnt they not all the same?...!.... different ecu programming and extractors and cold air intake... and maybe for the group A injectors as well and twin throttles

nope, there's Twinthrottle body's on the group A, GTS has 4 bolt mains, but there all surrpost to be 200kw cars something has to be different.Originally Posted by Vt-Brrrlina

The cam specs for the more illustrious HSV's (that had non standard cams) are listed in the service supplements for those models. I don't have the books but it's in there, so you need those books or find someone that has them

i once heard that some HSVs had a small cam similar to a crane 260 or something. i could be way off the ball though
The 200kw cars do have a different cam, don't know who made it but it is in that typical small cam range

Cheers mate, ever heard of a HDT cam tho? for the injected 5L V8???
Have a look at the crane web site, they have the info there for replacement group A cams.
I do have a vn group A service supp book with the specs i will find it if you need but just look at that website first. Im pretty sure they are a crane 276.
Crane made all the cams for the group A commodores.
