    Default oops! dfi module fail.

    hey guys,

recently my dad has been in possession of my VN commodore and he bought a new DFI module for it.

i was installing it tonight when i snapped the receiver metal thingo trying to put the new DFI on. dont know what the name of it is.. but it sits on top of the DFI. is there a way i can get a new one? or possibly fix it..

i put some insulation tape on it (so the metal is touching [hopefully keeping a connection] ) but the car refuses to start. the Engine light is on, the (!) light is on and the Petrol light and the battery light is on and it refuses to let me switch to LPG Gas to start the car.

i got it to start at one stage, where it was coughing and gurgling. when i revved it high enough it would be fine but i let the revs go too low, the car backfired or something along those lines and a bit of smoke came out from by my podfilter.

i will be trying a jumpstart tomorrow unless advised against, and putting the old Module in to see if that changes anything.

    HELP PLEASE!

You can pick up a coil pack from the wreckers, try get a series 2 one or if you are feeling rich check out the red ones from ebay.
