I need a new trans put in, is this a job that I can do at home

I would say if you believe you can then yes, for sure it's less complicated that learning English and you have mastered that . You will need to be able to raise the car off the ground on stands (in a safe way, because plenty of people die under cars) to be able to get it done

Yep probably heavier, best to lower it down with a jack, being a hero and bench pressing it could end badly:P
