    Hey ya ..No I doubt it cause your only removing the balancer not adding any holes and your not adding another balancer that requires it to be re-balanced ..

    I have just done this to my V6 and I did have the engine balanced as I was rebuilding it at the time. I think without the balance shaft you will increase vibration and harshness. If yours is a series 1 you will have to change the timing cover as well.
