hey.
i have not long brought a car and i am having alot of troubles, an we havent got very far in it, it will start ok and drive for a bit an it will stall, try to start it and it sounds like it wants to but slowly dies an it will do it over an over an it sometimes starting makes a popping noise after a while but if you go out there about hour later it starts straight away but wont get very far because it does exact same thing.
if there is any things that you know what it could be, that would be great!!!
we have changed crank angle sensor
ya changed fuel filter? old car of mine used to do similar thing, all the crap in filter would settle when it was off, and the fuel could flow till crap got mixed up again and blocked it. just a thought
and try doing this if ya havent already Checking your Computer for Faults (VN - VP)
yeah we did change that an coil pack. but still doing it.
crank angle sensor or dfi under coils or fuel pump jammed
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

ok thank you. we have changed the fuel filter changed the plugs and leads and fuel pressure regular and changed the crank angle sensor but still wont run probley and it pops and carrys on in the air filter when u put ur foot down on the accelerator. if you think of anything else let us know please
Could one or two of the Coils packs faulty. Get some replacements from a wrecker.
IS the car fitted with LPG?
Could also be the spark leads are wrong way around on a couple of cylinders.
na car isnt on gas.
my vp commodore keeps turning over and over and wont start
Have you cranked the engine with a lead off to check for spark?
If there is no spark, check your fuses and next thing to check is the wire plug to the module under the coils. You will need a 7mm socket to undo the nut. Wiggle the plug in the connector. They get corrosion and the power wire (RED) loses contact and you get no spark.
ok thx i will have a look and see if thats got anythink to do with it
Don't over-tighten the nut when you do it up! The plug may snap and then your up the creek!
can anyone help i have changed the coil pak the fuel filter fuel pump fuel pressure relay and the crank angle sensor and it still bak fires and carries on in air box it runs fine till it gets hot im dont know wat to do now i have changed all the things people told me to change but it still does run probley
im ready to burn the piece of shit ive kept my kewl but its slowly pissing me off
i have found one problem with it, turns out it had been sitting for two years so it had all stuff in the petrol tank an so i had to swap them over but still stalling going around corners all i can think of is no fuel pressure so gotta put over half a tank to keep it going.
stalling going round corners is normally the return hose come off inside the fuel tank or the swirl pot the pump sits in broken or cracked

Hi did you find out what's wrong with your car?? I have a vp Ss and just bought it a couple months ago and it's doing all the same things. I have checked immobilizer (not that) , good fuel presure through fuel pump, cleaned the throttle body. It was sitting in a shed for a while... Please help?
cutting out around corners or when you back off sounds like throttle position sensor. try changing it. had this issue for a while and found it had been rewired when replaced by previous owner and he had switched 2wires by accident.
the popping in your airbox is caused by excess fuel typically from timing being to far advanced pushing excess pressure and fuel back through the air intake. get a timing light onto it and retard the timing when hot.
