cant get in my car!

went out today and clicked my central locking button and got nothing....i have only had the car for 3 days! and relised there are no locks on the handle to unlock with the key.

And the only things i can think of are the battery in the key may have died even though it didnt seem like it was and the other day the battery died so i thought maybe that stuffed up something i charged the battery back up and i remember it working after that so any ideas?can a dead battery screw with ya central locking?

that sucks balls, and yes it can, cus when u have flat abttery it opens really slow, so i think it can, and how stupid is no key holes?:S try get in through the boot??

yeah i would try get through the boot if i didnt have a gas tank in the way lol and yes no key holes is just stupid!!

A mate who used to work for the NRMA, got a call out for a similar problem, the cars battery was dead, and for whatever reason couldn't use the key.
He had to get underneath the car, and connect up a jumper pack, negative to the chassis, and positive to the starter motor(gotta real careful though of course).
Apparently it worked.

hmm yeah that would work but think im just gonna try breaking in to my own car first..

just wanna know why its not working the light on the button flashes when i press it so im guessing its not dead...maybe the battery has died some how not 2 sure stupid lock lol

The remote has its own battery and if ya car battery is flat it will not unlock the car doors , do you have a key for the boot lock and go throw the center seat to unlock ya car??? if not they are easy to get in to Pm me ya number and i can talk ya throw it if ya like

the key for the boot doesnt work and theres a gas tank in the way so cant get to the back seats even if i wanted to...

well ended up braking the door handle off with a screw driver and was just a flat battery so its all charged up and running and went and picked up a door handle for it today for 5 bucks so pretty happy cheers for the help guys.

if its a vn you could've used a flat head screwdriver to get in without breaking anything in about 2 minutes.
