VN Cruise Control Not Working

The cruise control on my vn has stopped working. When you try to set the cruise the light comes on, on the power button but no light comes on the dash and the cruise control does not work.
Any Ideas where to look for problems

This happened to car I worked on once. We fixed it after changing the car from auto to manual.

?????? you dont need any secret bits just another brake switch on the clutch pedal. If your cruise wont engage 99.9% of the time you just need to reset the switch on the brake pedal there is a how to on here somewhere

yeah that idea was to crude for me. well I do gave a advanced diploma in electronic engineering.
My thing is full proof and never need adjusting or replacing unlike conventional switches.
