Heater Tap

hey guys,

ive seen some posts about 2 types of heater taps, 2 hose and 4 hose. ive also read that vn-vr need 2 hose and vr onwards need a 4 hose. ive got a 92 VP and i can see it has 4 hoses, 2 from the firewall, 1 from the front of the engine and 1 from the back of the engine. at the moment the two coming from the firewall are connected together and the 2 from the engine are connected together(from previous owner). ive bought a new 4 hose heater tap to replace whatever is there. so even though i have a VP does this mean i need a 4 hose heater tap even though its a V6??

yes you need a 4 hole. As far as I know all VN-VY V6's have a 4 hose tap the 2 hose taps are off a V8. My VN V6 had a 4 hose tap and my VY V6has exactly the same tap.
