Hello lads,
Ijust re-gas my aircon and as it's not really cold, the guy show me the low pressure switch/plug as the faulty pb.
He called a wrecker and when I came he gave me the plug, not a switch.
something like this:
As I don't know anything about aircon I didn't really check.
So could the pb be the plug and not the switch?
Otherwise I found a tip on this forum = disconnect the switch & insert a bypass wire in the plug.
Does someone have experienced this solution?
Could this work with a faulty plug?
and how to do it exactly I don't really see what I have to do?
can I blow the compressor or other stuff doing this?
Thx++
Is this switch behind the front bumper or the near the firewall?
Pretty sure the switch should be near the reciever dryer under the engine bay on the passenger side near the firewall.
Could be wrong as i think their is a high pressure cutoff too as mine had problems with overpressure and cutting off early like every 10 seconds.
I wouldnt bypass it either.
Picture shows a low pressure switch so your friend is most likely correct.

yes this is one the 3 plugs on the receiver dryer.
So this faulty part I showed here above, is it a switch or a plug?
So no solution?? damn it!
looks like a switch to me which a plug plugs into.
The hex part should have thread inside which screws into the pressure line.
Would not undo it with pressure still in the system either, you would need to take it and get it regassed and old stuff extracted as its illegal to vent it to atmosphere.
If in doubt, bypass it to see if the Air cond works properly. I wouldn't bypass permently, it sensors low pressure in the system: ei as leak will damage the compressor.
Can you take out the switch without the need to de-gas the system as there's a valve in there, similar to a tyre valve.

Yes could be the solution but I am not sur there is such a valve. ANd the mecanic also. Otherwise I would do it
If someone can confirm there is a valve or not?
I made a typo error in my post
I meant to type:

Much better![]()
