car is driving all over the road, especially gravel roads, was bad with standard rims, now it has hsv 17's its really bad, checked tie and balls, seems good, shockers are good, so im thinking its the rack, it is leaking a little oil out of one broken boot
As you have changed the size of your wheels you will need a wheel alignment.
They will check all components and tell you what is wrong and in need of repair.
same issue i had couple weeks ago... had 15's and it all seemed fine.. bought some vx ss 17's and the steering was shocking, so went to get it balanced and alligned to get a call in 20mins saying my steering rack was gone and needed a new one along with new bushes... $820 later its all good
Easy enuff to replace your self. Exchange rack 180, some beer, ramps/stands and some time.
Not overly hard. Just use a tape for a ruff alingnment, then take it to the tyre shop imediatly for a proper alignment. easy as, just did one my self.
