Hey all,
I currently have an 89 Toyota Lexen and when you are idling in park or in drive at the lights the revs of the engine seem to shake the whole car fairly violently and makes a fair bit of noise. The guy I bought it of said it needed new silicone engine bracers or something.
I used to have another VN that did a very similar thing, is this a common fault in the VN series?
Does the engine bracers seem like the problem? Are they easy to replace? Or could this be another issue and I'm best taking it to the mechanic?
Engine mounts are easy.,. About $89 each.. Go buy 2.. Jack the engine up from the sump with a block of wood between the jack an the sump... Remove the a/c compresser.. Remove the mounts... Install the new drivers side mount first tho.. Its easyier that way because for the passanger side just remove the a/c compresser housing, bolt the mount to the housing, then put it all back together
i'm not tailgating, i'm keeping up with the pace car
