Ok this is really getting to me, and sorry for my noobness.
i have two Vns im trying to make into one.
the roof lining on the body im using was sagging but on the donor car was fine, so i figured to swap them over. I figured if i removed the rear interior pillars i would be fine asin taking the roof board out!
I didn't really know how so i just pulled, got angry, pulled harder then broke it all out.
So now i have my body without rear interior pillars and roof lining, and a donor with the full interior inside the car, How do I remove the Interior Pillars without breaks? how do i remove the roof lining without breaks and how do i put it all in fine?
Thanks for your help! sorry if this has already been posted!
DAVIDC
search for how to's regarding replacing roof lining. All removal and re-fitting info will be included - and pics!!
Alright well it turns out i didnt have to take the pillars off, so there was no information on that, anyone know about that?
they go brittle with sun and age and become very very hard to get out without breakages.. all i can suggest is have a good hard look at the one you broke, note where the plastic clips are that hold it to the body and be gentle and patient and support those areas when pulling the good one out. could use one of the window winder removers to try and get in around the clips and pry it off a little.
as u discovered you dont really need to pull them out to replace the head lining, especially not the centre one at the back, that one has been the biggest drama to me in the past..
Well with the VN i did all this to it didnt have the middle bit anyway so i cant be blamed for it :P
dont worry though, i'll have alot of fun with the other VN :| but saying that the Vn im taking the parts out of has always been covered and well looked after because i bought it off a family friend so maybe some luck : D
Thanks !
