    Default Plugs and gas converter.

The time has come for some new plugs in the old VP dunny door, I was wondering you you guys would recomend for a V6 on gas ?

The standards have done well so far.

Allso whats a good gas converter, atm i have a no name job that came with the car single stage thing that has given me nothing but head akes.

Its time for it to meet the rubbish tip.

    Any suggestions

    Impco dual stage etc ?

    Thanks,

    Dave

mate i would go for NGK Plugs ask for gas as the gap is smaller also go for a common gas coverter i have an impco have had it for 10 yrs and still going strong but definetly NGK or boshch if none in stock but dont get Champions or (Chopman) as the porcelion is weak and will break the next time you decied to take them out

Awesome, thanks, i was quoted 250ish for an air rod, thats ment to be as good as a impco for the v6.

And if ngk are the go, ill deffinatly give them a shot. So far ive had 3 plugs with cracked porcelin.

Spark plug wise you should got one heat stage lower. Thats what ive been told by every LPG mechanic ive spoken too. Works beautifuly on mine, make sure you've got a good set of leads(check with multi meter, under 25 Ohms is good from what ive read). Because if you get a bad spark your more likely to backfire.

My VN is on straight gas with no fuel tank. I have the old Gas Research system on mine, and if you are going to go straight gas i would strongly recommend going the injected gas. I've had no problems with mine at all, but would love to upgrade.

I use the NGK gas plugs for mine aswell. Plus the special GAS oil which is a very thin oil anyway, and the car runs like a dream
