    Default Lowered springs questions

I recently cut my springs in the VG ute and it made the suspension really hard....I had a look under the car and saw that the rubber stoppers were about 2cm away from actual stopper.. is this the reason why...and if i was to put super low springs in would i still have the same problem

Cut springs, there is your first problem. Putting lowered springs will harden your ride, it's supposed to with most lowered springs. Remove the cut springs as soon as possible and install some proper lowered springs and shortened shock absorbers. You're probably riding on your bumpstops and hence it feels very hard.

Cut springs are hugely more likely to bottom out, which is probably why you have such a crap ride. Aftermarket springs will tend to be thicker to prevent this. Cut springs = fail.

yea live axle. i to have a vg with 19s i cut the bump stops off the body and diff witch gives bot 4'' more space with king springs SSL and cut one cole off top and bottom, and a bit of bashing with a hammer in the guard and it tucks real nice and rides good too, but i put my stand up jetski in the back {140kgs} and my shoks start bottom out> oh well

i dont think they cost any more then $100 for a set but the hard thing u will find is getting them off without burring the nuts. i burred the nuts so i just cut the stopper instead.
