My mates vp has no injector pulse havent looked at it yet but will be shortly
what do you think it might be
What sort of engine is in there, an SR20? Perhaps a 2JZ-GE? Or maybe a V6 or a V8?

My mate had an engine out of a Levin GTZ (4-AGZE) which had a similar problem.
We suspected the ECU but turns out it was something else to do with the wiring or something. Never found out as he sold the car before getting it going.
can be a fault within the ecu itself or else just a fault in the wiring somewhere between the ecu and injectors
If the injector pulse is the only thing missing i.e. there is spark and there's not a "check engine" light with the ignition on "reds", it's probably a fault in the anti-theft system/BCM. Most often it's the switch in the passenger side 'A' pillar. If you have the key, try turning the switch to "off". If no key, unplug and bypass/jumper wire the switch terminals (=> drill out a rivet or two to remove the plate shielding the wiring connector behind the vent).
If bypassing the switch "off" yields an injector pulse/CEL and the switch is OK, the BCM or remote is probably faulty (although it might be the wiring to/from the BCM and the ECM). The BCM and (a) matching remote(s) can be replaced. The BCM is above the vent dusct behind/above the glovebox.
