Just wondering if everyone has heard of or used an MSA catalytic converter from the exhaust shop on ebay? Wanting to know if they're any good or not.
I couldnt tell you, Only ever had a stock one. Though the stock ones do a good enuff job. Why does yours need to be changed ?
I'm just doing the usual bolt ons on a vn v8. Cold air intake, cat back zorst and a chip. Thought I would change the cat to help maximise things and was going to get a big single instead of going to the expense of twins.
Ahh ok, you wont see much of a gain if any at all, especaly if you already have twin stock cats.
If your still running a single stock item, Youd gain possibly 3 kw if that by removeing it or replaceing with a high flow one.
I bought a pair of the Venom 100cpi cats on ebay. work a treat and VERY cheap for metal cats. I'm very happy with them. cost about $340 for a pair delivered
Hit me up with some reputation points if i've helped you out! (Star in the bottom left!) Cheers!

Running 100 cpsi cats, you may as well not be running cats at all. They don't meet EPA requirements, so if you ever get stopped for a roadside emissions test or a copper orders an EPA test, they will fail. Legal 200 cpsi cats flow to about 750hp each so 100's are way overkill and good marketing.
Yeah at the moment my vn only has the stock single cat. Thanks for the info guys I think I will go for the 3 inch 200cpi cat.

Just to let you guys know about the msa cat on ebay. I ended up ordering a 3 inch 200 cell cat on sunday night and it arrived on wednesday. Really happy with it. It bolted straight in once I got the correct gaskets and seemed to be a well made product. Onlt cost me $160. Its from a mob called the exhaust shop. They only sell stuff online. If youre looking for a cheap cat or two look em up on ebay. Just waiting on my greenfoam tune and I'll be sorted.................... At least for a little while.
